Justin Bieber was an artist at the age of 12 started posting Youtube videos of him from home just singing a few songs and entering talent competitions, he had his own profile and started getting popular in which people started to ask for requests of songs for him to sing. The more popular he got, the more attention he got, not only from a young girl audience but also from music producers wanting to sign him. He got the attention of Scooter Braun, this is the man who made him the international star he is today.
This is Justin Bieber singing 'With You' by Chris Brown, he started off singing covers by other artists after the requests. When he got a record deal and started getting famous, he still connected with the fans through his starting platform, Youtube. There is also many other artists that have got famous through Youtube, including Esmee Denters and Greyson Chance.
Youtube is a great place to distribute music, and this is why im choosing it to put my music video on to. Its also great to see the feedback as it has a comment section and you can also see the amount of views the video has gotten. Without Youtube it would be hard to see the artists music videos just on TV, and also not only does it show the music videos but also behind the scene videos, like what they do in their spare time and also about their tour and other stuff about the artist that the audience would be interested in.
Vevo is also another part of Youtube, that most artists do have, they have a Vevo page in which its easy to see the offical video, and its always high quality unlike other Youtube channels that might not have the high quality offical video, you also know its trustworthy and coming from the original artist. Vevo.com is also where you cans see the newest music videos and they also have an app where they give you a notification on a new video so you are always up to date on new music videos.
YouTube and other video sites have also meant that people all over the world can look at an artist's video, so even people in places like China can see what UK artists are doing by clicking onto their YouTube page. Also they all have YouTube Channels, they might be Vevo accounts or official accounts but either way you know the source is real and also they can comment on videos and keep you up to date with what they are doing, which is what I want my artist to be able to do.
